Netflix’s Last Chance U! Jeff Carpenter from seasons 3 and 4. What was Jason Brown like and what was it like to go from anonymity to known world-wide overnight? Episode 1 of 2.
The Netflix Docuseries Last Chance U has developed a following of millions ever since debuting in 2016. The stories, the characters and the intrigue of watching athletes and coaches overcome their demons, obstacles and life in general to continue their dreams of playing major college athletics and professional sports has been captivating fans for years. The show is as real as it gets. It has happy endings, sad endings and everything in between. Seasons 3 and 4 are arguably the most entertaining of the long running series due largely to the highly polarizing head football coach at Independence Community College Jason Brown. Brown’s brash, vulgar and unapologetic style had its fair share of supporters and detractors. One thing is certain, he was interesting. One man that had a front row seat for all of it was ICC play by play man Jeff Carpenter. Carpenter’s announcing was used every episode and he was a central figure in the interviews conducted throughout the two seasons. If you have seen the show, you know who Jeff Carpenter is, and now we have him on Before The Crowds play by play podcast!
