Personal Finances and Get Rich Quick Scams

Personal Finances and Get Rich Quick Scams

The other day I was having a conversation with a friend about wealth and personal finances. Almost everyday I drive past the West Palm Beach Airport and I see Trump's Jet there. And I also saw a photo of a smaller, but still equally impressive Rick Ross Jet parked next to Trump's. Of course that got my mind to thinking about personal wealth and finances.

My next thought was that I am surrounded by people driving very expensive vehicles. It's important to note that the average price of a new American brand cars in 2023 stands at $57,062. While this figure falls short of the prices associated with European brands, it still represents an almost 33% premium compared to Asian vehicles.

And don't even get me started on the cost of housing.

But that led to my next thought, or question. How do all these people afford their financial lifestyles?

Did I miss something, or a class about earning money? That they obviously got.

All of this was almost immediately followed up by a host of money making opportunities on the internet, especially advertisements on Social Media.

How many of these so-called get rich quick schemes are nothing more than scams?
