What Is Labor Day, It's Origins and Meaning? For many of us in the United States Labor Day is a 3 Day Weekend that commemorates the unofficial end of the Summer season. The Autumn Equinox, or Fall Equinox date varies slightly year to year, but it is usually September 22 or 23. On rare occasions, it can fall on September 21 or 24.
So, that got me to thinking What is Labor Day? What are it's origins? Why do we celebrate it and what other countries commemorate Labor Day?
